Three-day International Conference on Spinal Surgery to be held in Mumbai from Feb 16

A three-day international conference on spinal surgery is being held at the Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre at Bandra in Mumbai between February 16 and 18 to update Indian Neuro and Orthopaedic surgeons on the latest international developments in the areas of image guided surgery, radiosurgery, robotic surgery and artificial disc replacement. More than 50 experts from 18 countries will address the conference to be attended by more than 400 doctors.

The theme of the conference is 'How I do it' since most of the surgeons will demonstrate their operative techniques on various aspects of spinal surgery. In fact, the first day of the conference will be dedicated to performing live operative surgery followed by a Hands-on Workshop in the afternoon. The highlight of the conference is a satellite lecture from Australia by Dr. Robert Fraser on the first day.

Eminent neurological and spinal surgeon, Dr. P. S. Ramani, is the director of the programme. Dr. Ramani is a consultant to the Lilavati Hospital, Shushrusha Hospital and Air India.
