Felicitation at Shri Kavale Math
Dr P S Ramani was the Chief Guest at a function organized by His Holiness Swamiji Shivanand Saraswati in his Kavale Math in Goa on 21st June 2009. In this function Swamiji felicitated a large number of Xth, XIIth, medical and IIT students who had distinguished themselves in the examination.
The function started at 5pm. Shri Uday Prabhu, Secretary of Swamiji alongwith disciples of Swamji’s Vedic School offered prayers. Mr Sanzgiri, the Trustee – Secretary of Swamiji welcomed the guests.

Dr Ramani then performed the traditional Paadpooja of Swamiji wearing the traditional silk cloths. Dr Ramani was then felicitated by Swamiji with certificate of appreciation, green jari shawl and blessings. Dr Ramani in his speech to the gathering impressed upon them to be learned alongwith being educated. He stressed the thoughts of Swamiji and requested the audience to be cultured, polite, humble and hardworking in life. Earlier Dr Ramani was introduced to the audience by another trustee Shri Bhaskar Khandeparkar. Swamiji then felicitated 65 candidates who had come with great enthusiasm along with their friends and relatives. The hall was overflowing with the crowd of more than 450 attendants. Swamiji later in his address stressed the need to follow the path as dictated by our culture so that alongwith education they can understand the values of life and remain happy in this world. He also stressed the fact that the human race is the only race blessed with high intellectual capacities and requested the audience to make the best use of it. The function concluded with the vote of thanks by Shri Uday Prabhu.
