2010-02 Goa Marathon
The Annual Marathon was organised by Ahilyabai Ramani Pratishtan on 21st February 2010 at Wadi-Talauli, in Ponda, Goa.
Dr Ramani also ran the Half-marathon in good time
The event was held most enthusiastically with several professional runners from Goa as well as from Mumbai participating in the event.
The 1st prize in the open half marathon was secured by Ms. Sharnifa D’souza from Varca, Goa. She was also winner of this event for the last year and she has stood 3rd in the International Marathon held in China recently.
1st prize winner in female category
She was even faster than the 1st prize winner in the male category Mr. Parasappu Bingi, a lifeguard from Vasco.
1st prize winner in male category
Approximately, 700 participants participated in the marathon and as usual Dr Ramani himself completed Half Marathon in good time.
