ACNS Conference, Malaysia

The 8th Biannual ACNS Conference (Asian Conference of Neurological Surgeons) was held in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia from 22nd till 24th November 2010.

Dr Ramani was specially invited for the conference by the Chairman Dr Moammed Safari Mohammad Haspani.

The conference was held at the Convention Centre attached to Traders Hotel very near the Twin Petronas Towers in the centre of Kuala Lumpur City.

In all 817 delegates from several Asian Countries including Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Nepal. Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Philippines, Thailand, Turkey, Kazakistan, Egypt, USA, Canada and many other countries attended the Conference.

Dr Peter Black, President of World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies specially attended the Conference. The Founding President from Japan - Dr Tetsuo Kanno, Emmeritus Professor from Fujita Health University in Aichi in Japan - was overseeing the Conference and Dr Yoko Kato from Japan was busy to check that all goes well in the Conference and also in the 1st Nursing Conference held simultaneously.

Prof PS Ramani assisted the Conference by being Judge, Chairman and the Speaker in the Conference. He talked at length on the management of backpain in the modern age.
