75th Year Felicitation by Goans
Dr P S Ramani felicitated in his 75th year by the Goans
Recently Dr P S Ramani entered the 75th eventful year in his life. Taking this opportunity, the Goan citizens formed an all Goa committee and felicitated Dr P S Ramani at the hands of His Excellence Bharat Vir Wanchoo, the Governor of Goa in the distinguished presence of Hon. Shri Manohar Parrikar, the Chief Minister of Goa.
1500 people attended the function compelling some of them to stand outside the hall to watch the function. The function was held at Ravindra Bhavan (Goa Government Art and Cultural Centre) in Madgaon on Sunday the 17th February 2013. The reception committee of the function was headed by Shri Vishnu Surya Wagh, MLA, Chairman - Kala Academy Goa, writer, poet, actor, director and social worker. Mr Kumar Sarjyotishi, educationist and religious exponent was the secretary and Mr Vinayak Naik, Senior Manager, Bank of India and Dr Ramdas Naik, practitioner were responsible for organizing the function. The noted ophthalmic surgeon and also writer and professional compere Dr Ajay Vaidya compered the function.
On this occasion Dr P S Ramani had an exhibition of his contribution to medical and social sciences. On this occasion, two books written by Dr Ramani, "Life and Health" in English, "Jeevan ani Swaasthya" in Marathi along with 16th edition of Dr Ramani's autobiography in Marathi "Taath Kana" were released. Also released on the occasion was a souvenir "Gauravika" specially printed for the occasion.
