Dr Ramani's Goa Marathon,Feb 2015
Dr Ramani's Goa Marathon which was held on 25th February 2015 at Govt sports Complex, Ponda garnered a huge response with runner from all over India and from Kenya, Australia, Poland, etc. Besides Kenyans, the show was stolen by Yamini Thakre from Nagpur and Anil Korvi from JSW Sports Club, Thane. Runners from Vasco Sports Club from Vasco, Madgaon, Panjim, Striders world, Mumbai, JSW Sports Club, Thane also participated in this marathon. Our VIP runners were Nitin Bandekar from Vasco and Ritiesh Naik from Ponda. Zumba dance group headed by Zin Genevieve Coutinho from Madgao along with film actress Varsha Usgaonkar kept the runners thrilled. The highlight of the event was the presence of Chief Minister Bab Laxmikant Parsekar to distribute the prizes. An impressive large LED screen by Sabby kept the runners delighted all the time and RJ with Radiomirchi 98.3 fame - Shane kept the scene lively from beginning till end with his voice and selection of DJ music. Dr Ramani's book on jogging "Walk, Jog, Run" was released by Hon'ble CM along with a audio CD of the book along with s special issue of the monthly magazine Ruchi on health with Guest Editor Dr P S Ramani. Mr Benjamin from Kenya, the winner of Dr Ramani's Goa Marathon was loudly cheered by the audience.
