The Special Felicitation Ceremony for Dr. P.S. Ramani during the 5th International Conference on Complications in Neurosurgery (ICCN), which will be held on 6th March 2025 in Goa.
To celebrating the achievements and contributions of Dr. P.S. Ramani in the field of neurosurgery and medical science.
The ceremony will take place in the esteemed presence of Chief Guest, Mr. Audhut Timblo, Managing Director and CEO at Fomento Resorts & Hotels, Goa, and our Guest of Honour, Mr. Raju Nayak, Editor-Director of Dainik Gomantak and Gomantak Times.
On the 1st and 2nd of March, 2025, Dr. Ramani embarked on a whirlwind trip to the holy cities of Mathura, Gokul, and Vrindavan. The visit was filled with spiritual significance and encounters with a large number of devotees. In particular, the atmosphere at Vrindavan was electric with an overwhelming crowd. Due to the sheer volume of people, Dr. Ramani was escorted by two security guards through a back entrance to ensure a smooth and secure experience.
Dr. P. S. Ramani visited the T-10 Divyang Triangular Series Cricket Tournament, which took place on February 28, 2025, at the Mumbai Police Gymkhana in Marine Lines, Mumbai.
Dr. P.S. Ramani’s recognition with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 15th National Conference of MCNS 2025 in Kolhapur on 15th February 2025, is truly an impressive honor. It must be a moment of pride for his contributions to his field.
That’s wonderful! Antique silver coins, especially ones as old and historically significant as the Indian one rupee coins from 1940, can be highly valuable and meaningful. The 1940 coin was minted during the British colonial period in India, and it’s made of 50% silver. Coins from that era are often sought after by collectors due to their rarity and historical context.

With such an event organized by Dr. P S Ramani and supported by the Shanta Siddhi Charitable Trust & SMT Ahilyabai Ramani Pratishtan, it seems like a great platform for local teams to showcase their talent.
On 30th November 2024, Dr. P S Ramani’s 86th birthday celebration was a remarkable event filled with love, respect, and admiration from many people. The fact that people brought poems and framed them to honor him is such a personal and heartfelt gesture. It also speaks volumes about his influence and the deep impact he’s had on his community and profession.
The celebration at JJ Hospital with Dr. Vernon Velho organizing the felicitation and cake-cutting ceremony, alongside the presence of surgeons and the Dean, adds another layer of significance to the occasion. It must have been a deeply meaningful day for Dr. Ramani, surrounded by both his loved ones and colleagues.
On 29th September 2024, a free medical camp was organized at Dr. P S Ramani’s clinic, under the auspices of the Shanta Siddhi Charitable Trust. The event was honored by the presence of our chief guest, Dr. Samidha Waradker from Lilavati Hospital.
The camp provided essential healthcare services to the community, and we were grateful for the support and participation of everyone involved. It was an enriching experience for all, and we are committed to continuing such initiatives in the future to serve those in need.
On 9th November 2024, Prof. P S Ramani delivered the prestigious NVSS Oration 2024 of famous Narayana Hrudalaya in Bengaluru.

Dr. P S Ramani’s Advanced Basic Course in Spinal Surgery, which took place on June 29, 2024. This event was held at Hotel Novotel and Cooper Hospital in Juhu, with Prof. Mehmet Zileli from Turkey delivering the Prof. P S Ramani Oration.
That’s wonderful! It’s heartening to know that Shanta Siddhi Charitable Trust has contributed to supporting physically handicapped patients by donating wheelchairs and other essential equipment. The involvement of the Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Ramesh Baishya, in the donation event on 10th March 2024 adds a significant touch of recognition to this noble cause.

I’m truly sorry to hear about the loss of Shri Pankaj Udhas. He was a legendary figure in the world of Gazal music, and his voice and contribution to Indian music will be deeply missed by his fans and the music community. His soulful renditions touched so many hearts, and his legacy will continue to live on through his timeless songs.

That’s wonderful! Celebrating Dr. Ramani’s birthday as Neuro Spinal Day and organizing a free medical camp is a great way to honor his contributions to the field of neurology and spinal surgery. By examining over 109 patients, you’ve not only provided valuable healthcare but also contributed to the awareness and importance of spinal health. Such initiatives promote the welfare of communities and enhance knowledge of neurological and spinal conditions.
Dr. P. S. Ramani had an eventful day on November 18th, 2023. After returning from Himachal Pradesh, he quickly headed to the BKC Jio Centre, where he was invited as the guest of honour for a function organized by the Diabetic Association. Actor Boman Irani was the chief guest for the event. This must have been a significant occasion, with both notable figures attending.
Dr. P.S. Ramani visited Himachal Pradesh from November 16th to 18th, 2023, at the invitation of H. E. Shri Dalai Lama. During his visit, Dr. P S Ramani had the honor of meeting the Shri Dalai Lama on November 17th, 2023. He spent significant time with the revered spiritual leader, describing him as an impressive, kind, and benevolent personality.
It sounds like me had a meaningful experience meeting the Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, and presenting him with a copy of the Bhagavad Gita! Such an occasion must have been a moment of great pride for me and my friend, Mr. Pawan Arora.

“FREE BACK PAIN CAMP” was sponsored by our Trust on Sunday September 3rd 2023 held at 155-A, Techno Heights, Hindu Colony, Dadar (East), Mumbai – 400 020 was went very well. There was too much crowd and the clinic was full with patients waiting in the corridor.
Approx 150 patients were examined & Approx 25 through video consultations The Camp was over at 4.00 pm which was started at 7.30a.m. Our President & World Neuro Spinal Surgeon and Great Social Worker Dr. P. S.Ramani Sir with his five assistant conducted the Camp. All the patients were provided Snacks.
The first ever Dr P S Ramani Oration established by Bombay Neuro Spine Association was delivered by Dr Oscar Alves from Portugal on 25th June 2023. The medal specially made with Gold and Silver conveys history of Neuro Spinal Surgery in India.

On Sunday the 10th of July, 2022 on Ashadi Ekadashi day , Dr PS RAMANI released his 75th book on a so called religious script ” BHAGAVAD GITA ” in English and Marathi language. Dr PS RAMANI does not believe it is a religious script . He strongly believes like many others round the world that it is a way of life that one should live to attain contentment. The book was released by Shri RAVI DIXIT , Joint Director , Kaivalyadhama Yogic Health Center in Mumbai and in Lonavala. Smt Anuradha Thakur , Retired Chief General Manager of State Bank of India and Shri Vinayak Prabhu of Times Group were the Guests of Honour.
Shanta Siddhi Charitable Trust donated equipment useful for handicapped patients like adult and children wheelchairs , crutches , walkers , etc to All India Institute for Physically Handicapped and Rehabilitation at a function held in their Institute in Haji Ali , Mumbai 1st May 2022. Dr Anil Kumar Gaur , the Director was personally present and thanked the Trust profusely and outlined the role of NGO’s in such acts.
Dr Ramani was Chief Guest at a function in Deshpande Auditorium in Prabhadevi and He gave away Manpatra to the recipients on behalf of Kalashram Abhiyan.

Dr. P. S. Ramani’s 72nd book on the topic of “Corona Pandemic” was released on 15th August 2021 by Lt.Gen. Dr. V. Ravishankar, COO, Lilavati Hospital and Dr. Avinash Supe, Director, P. D. Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai.

Dr P S Ramani’s 46th Annual Neurological camp was held in Ponda on 22nd September 2019. Minister for Art and Culture Shri Govind Gaude was the Chief guest who gave away prizes to the winners of Essay Competion for College Students.
Prof. Ramani’s Spine Masters Course was held on 22nd and 23rd June 2019at Dr. R. N. Cooper Municipal General Hospital, Juhu, and Hotel ITC Grand Central, Parel, Mumbai, on the theme of “Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery (MISS)”.
Dr. Ramani operated upon the back of 95 year old lady for a major surgery of lumbar canal stenosis. Within less than 24 hours, she started walking, sitting and chit-chatting freely and After successful surgery, she immediately sent her 87 year old brother in law, who was operated on 23rd May and he is roaming all over the hospital.
Russian Spinal surgeons visited Dr. Ramani as they wanted to see his micro surgery on 24th April 2019.
Dr P S Ramani’s 60th book on the topic of “Pedicle screw technology” was released by Dr Conrad Rui Vas, Medical Director, Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai.

Dr P. S. Ramani held his annual saw-bone model workshop at Lilavati Hospital on Sunday, 1st July, 2018. He was assisted by faculty members coming from Bombay, Breach Candy, Hinduja, Nanavati, Apollo, K.E.M and Cooper Hospitals. The delegates came from Chennai, Bangalore, other parts of Karnataka, New Delhi and Maharashtra.

In the later half of the day, a CME was organised to discuss and highlight management of Neuro-Spinal disorders which was attended by 300 national and international delegates.
The day started with a 5k and 10k Marathon starting from Worli Sea Link in which 450 runners participated which was joined by Striders Running Group from Shivaji Park, Mumbai and students and invitees from all over the world with utmost excitement.

Dr. Ramani Goa Marathon 2017 resonated as a grand success on 5th November 2017 in Ponda, Goa held at Bhausaheb Bandodkar Ground. People walked, jogged and ran to complete this challenging route. The enthusiasm of the volunteers was tremendous. Honorable Shri Sudin Dhavalikar, PWD Minister, was the Chief Guest and Ms. Sunita Sawant, DySp, Goa was the Guest of Honor who give away the prizes. Mr. James N Nyawira from Kenya finished half marathon in 1:09:18.
Dr P S Ramani, an ex-student of GVM joined the Marathon in Ponda, Goa.
He was also facilitated by the college authorities.
The prize distribution function of annual essay competition on health topic for college students of Goa was held during the annual camp of Dr P S Ramani. The chief guest Mr A K Burman, production director of Blue Cross Laboratories gave away the prizes. The three recipients are females.

Recently Dr. P. S. Ramani was felicitated in Goa by Saraswat Convention during their Annual Food and Cultural Festival. In his address, Dr Ramani stressed the value of mother in house with reference to the famous book of Sane Guruji “Shyamchi Aai”. He also vividly brought to the notice of the audience that in the present era, the modern Shyam has no time to look after his mother although he respects her very much. Under the circumstances, Dr Ramani suggested that senior citizens places like Sneh Mandir in Goa is the best solution
.
The function was organized by Dainik Lokmat. Mr Raju Nayak had worked hard to see that a large number of readers attend the function along with different types of media. The function was compered by Goa’s noted ophthalmic surgeon and equally famous for compering programs Dr Ajay Vaidya. The book released by most senior doctor and humanitarian in Goa Dr Datta Naik. The acclaimed writer of novels in Marathi Mr Vishram Gupte analysed the book for the audience. The function was well attended by corporate directors and chairmen, business magnates, bank officials and other readers of Dr Ramani‘s books.
Dr Ramani had taken a delegation of 30 doctors from India to Seoul in South Korea for Asia Pacific Spine Conference from 9th to 12th November 2016.

1.Mast Shaydon Vaz male aged 13 years from St Brittos High School in Mapusa completed half marathon in a record time of 2 hours and 18 minutes while
2. Rahul Ram Yadav another male aged 13 years from Jindal Sports Club completed 3 km in 9 minutes and 30 seconds.

Dr P S Ramani held his annual free medical camp at IMA Hall, Ponda Goa on 9th October 2016. More than 300 patients were examined and given advice. The unique feature of the camp was 17 patients coming in individual ambulances and Dr Ramani every time had to come down from the 3rd floor to examine the patient (central picture). It now proudly hangs on the main hall of Dr P. S. Ramani’s residence.”

Dr. P. S. Ramani was the President of the year long function arranged to mark 50 years of Shri Shantadurga Temple at Walkeshwar Math along with completion of 21 years by the present Pontiff Parampujya Shivanand Swamiji.
At the concluding function on 5th June 2016 held at Pracharya B. N. Vaidya Sabhagruha, Dadar. Dr. Ramani is seeing with Mrs. Ramani arriving at the hall and in the second photograph felicitating Swamiji alongwith Shri Gautam Thakur, Vice Chairman, Saraswat Bank Ltd., looking on the left side is Mr. Bhushan Jack was responsible for the yearlong celebrations and on the right side Shri Kishore Kulkarni, Chairman, NKGSB Bank.

” Dr P S Ramani’s Annual Cadaveric workshop was conducted in Rajkot for 2 days on 30th and 31st January, 2016. It was inaugurated by Hon’ble Gujarat Cabinet Minister Sri Vijaybhai Rupani along with Mayor of Rajkot Dr Jaimanbhai Upadhyaya. The workshop was held at PDU Medical College and was organised by senior reputed Neurospinal surgeon from Rajkot Dr Prakash Modha along with Dr Shradha Maheshwari Neurosurgeon from R N Cooper hospital, Mumbai. The instructors came from all over India, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Egypt.
It was attended by over 100 participants.”
